Wrinkle Relaxation
Wrinkle Relaxation is a hugely popular non-surgical procedure for treating deep wrinkles which appear as frown lines between the eyes, forehead lines and crows' feet.
As we age our skin inevitably becomes thin and sagging as it loses its elasticity. This results in wrinkles. As well as the ageing process, other major influences such as diet, sun exposure and smoking can also play a huge role. The good news is that new advances in the field of facial rejuvenation have resulted in cutting-edge treatment like Wrinkle Relaxation that can leave you feeling younger, enhancing your appearance and your self-confidence. What's more, a typical treatment to the whole forehead and crows' feet area takes less than ten minutes.
How does it work?
Wrinkle Relaxation is administered using very fine sterile disposable syringes. Small quantities of Wrinkle Relaxation are injected into facial muscles causing them to relax. These injected small doses block the actions of the nerves that supply muscle contraction – the no.1 reason for facial lines. The formation of lines is stopped because the muscles are no longer able to flex. Underlying muscles are also totally relaxed, leaving any existing lines much less pronounced. This is a transitory effect that will wear off within a few months.
What areas can be treated?
Wrinkle Relaxation treats deep wrinkles which appear as frown lines between the eyes, forehead lines and crows’ feet.
How is the treatment performed?
A small amount of Wrinkle Relaxation is injected into 8 to 15 places about 1 cm apart along the lines. As each area is treated, some patients might experience a little discomfort. However this will only last for a few seconds.
How long does it last?
Depending upon personal reaction to the procedure, Wrinkle Relaxation treatment generally lasts from 3 to 6 months. Within a week to two weeks after the initial treatment, the beneficial effects become very clear.
Are there any side effects?
If well administered by an experienced cosmetic medical practitioner, patients rarely experience side-effects.
