What to do when you go home after LipoSelection™

Will I feel sore after LipoSelection™?

You should expect to feel some soreness; this will last about a week. Other than the slight discomfort, you should be able to resume most of your normal activities immediately.

Will I have to wear a special garment?

After the operation you will need to wear a special garment for one week. This garment must be worn for 24 hours a day for 7 days. After a week you return to the clinic to see the surgeon to have your bandages and sutures removed.

When can I return to normal activities?

The recovery varies with the extensiveness of the procedure, however, most patients return to normal activities within days as compared with the weeks normally anticipated with other fat removal systems.

When can I exercise after LipoSelection™?

Within your level of comfort, you may exercise lightly after one week.

When can I expect to see results?

In most cases a change is noticed immediately. The best results show at 3 months, but during this time you can expect continual results.

When can I return to work?

Some people go back to work the next day. Most people return to work within a few days, although a week off is certainly more pleasant.

What if something goes wrong?

Contact your surgeon immediately if you:

• Experience shortness of breath, chest pains, or unusual heart beats.
• Notice any signs of infection.
• Experience bleeding.
• Experience a sudden increase in pain.
