Consultant plastic surgeon Mr Rajan Uppal's private practice is based in Windsor and London providing highest quality cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery that combines his considerable experience and expertise with the very best in personalised care.

Mr Uppal was born in Hillingdon, Middlesex and grew up around Berkshire, until medical school at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London. Then as now, he believed in the importance of the mind/body connection, being an active member in the Rowing Team and Tennis Club. These interests he pursues to this day.
After final examinations and qualifications in Medicine and Surgery, he was awarded a Prize in Pharmacology in 1993. Following completion of junior surgical training, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998. Pursuing his interest in research, he undertook clinical trials of a promising new medicine that improved the quality and duration of wound healing. His thesis in 1999 gained him a Master of Science (MSc) degree, and was published in well-respected American medical journals.
Mr Uppal has worked in Guys, St Thomas', St Bartholomew's, and St George's, all London area teaching hospitals. His career path includes working with many leading surgeons throughout the UK, US, and Europe. The result of his cumulative work experience made him a Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery FRCS (Plas).
Mr Uppal's international experience includes three months in Belgium, furthering his subspecialty regarding breast cancer reconstruction. Keeping current with the latest expertise, studies and technologies, he travels throughout Europe and the USA.
The Royal College of Radiologists regularly welcomes Mr Uppal's lectures regarding malignant melanomas and sentinel node biopsy procedures. His help proved vital in developing the new ultrasound node depths measurement technique in melanoma patients. This technique has been disseminated in the European Journal of Plastic Surgery, and in lectures at the Hellenic Centre and Thames Valley University.
Mr Uppal was appointed to NHS Consultant, Heatherwood and Wexham NHS Trust, a catchment area of one million people in the Windsor, Ascot, Slough, and Reading areas. He treats skin cancers, breast concerns, birth defects, burns, and road accidents. He performs breast reconstruction, hand surgery, and microsurgery. The stringent NHS requirements mean many surgeons are limited to cosmetic surgery; not so with Mr Uppal. He performs the wide range of operations required of an NHS consultant.
