The patient's initial consultation consists of a review of your medical history, a clinical examination by the doctor and a full discussion as to the nature of the proposed treatment, the recovery time and anticipated result. Your expectations and concerns are also paramount in the discussion. The doctor will educate you in all aspects of the surgery, potential risks and benefits and also assist you in setting realistic post-surgical expectations. Taking into account your own safety and wellbeing as the first priorities, Mr. Khanna will provide you with his honest opinion regarding your expectations, goals and suitability for surgery.
Photographs may be taken during the consultation to assist the discussion. Written information is available discussing individual operations. You will receive written information and advice regarding anaesthetic. Mr. Khanna pays particular attention to pre- and post-operative care in order to optimise the outcome of surgery and provide you with a smooth recovery. He is committed to providing his patients with the highest standard of care.
At your second consultation with the surgeon, you will have the opportunity to discuss your treatment in even greater detail and address any queries that may have arisen since your first consultation. This meeting will take place well in advance of your procedure, giving you ample time to make the right decision for you.
